Hoppes is a German Longhaired Pointer. He's almost 3 years old and was surrendered by his owner. Hoppes is a very high energy, handsome guy who really needs a job to do. A hunting dog by nature this wonderful and very motivated boy would probably do well in agility or field trials. If you have an active lifestyle and are willing to keep up with this active boy then maybe you are who he is looking for. Because of his size and energy level, we are recommending a home without small children.
Little is a big girl with a big personality. She was surrendered to SAVE because her owner could no longer care for her financially. This 7 year old has been at SAVE since February 2008, waiting to find her forever home. Little's mission in life is to find the world's most comfortable bed, and she thinks that a perfect bed can be made more perfect by sprinkling it with catnip. She is an independent girl, but will meow when she wants attention. Little would probably prefer to be the only cat in a quiet home.
Prada (or Peege - her nickname) is a 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull. She's super sweet, loves people, has lived with other dogs and children. Prada was surrendered by her owner when a family member became very ill. They were very sad to see her go, but we know that Prada is destined to find her new home very soon.
Cosmo came to SAVE as a stray in December 2008. She is a quiet, independent cat. At times, her "catitude" surface, but don't let this concern you; she just likes to express her opinions. The shelter is a stressful environment for her, and this sweet girl blossoms when she has one-on-one time in a quiet room. All Cosmo really wants is a comfortable spot in a wonderful home where she can relax. Although she would probably prefer to be the only cat.
