What is a Capital Campaign?

A Capital Campaign is designed to raise substantial funds to meet critical areas of need.  Typically, a Capital Campaign supports larger initiatives including shelter renovations and enhancements, and non-tangible areas of need including endowment funds.  Capital Campaigns address the long-term needs of the shelter whereas the Annual Fund is aimed to meet short-term operating needs. Gifts and pledges can be unrestricted or can be directed within the board-designated goals of the Capital Campaign.

SAVE's Capital Campaign

On May 7, 2011, SAVE officially launched a $3,000,000 Capital Campaign to raise funds to build a new shelter in Montgomery Township.  The new facility is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013. SAVE's current site is lacking in space for the animals, visitors and volunteers and is crumbling under the weight of 40 years of constant use.  Please take a moment to view SAVE's Capital Campaign Case Statement [35.49 MB PDF] to learn more about SAVE's new shelter plans. For naming opportunities and for more information, please contact the Piper Burrows at 609-924-3802.
